Dusk Pavilon

Plato’s cave meets the cave of Lascaux: The space is an immersive infinity bathed in blue light. A black light lamp activates when the participant remains still and deactivates upon movement.
By casting a shadow, the participant interrupts the infinity. This shadow becomes a trace, a lingering mark the participant can contemplate from a distance, creating a moment of existential reflection. Shadows are fleeting, slowly fading and creating a sense of transience. Each stillness generates a new shadow, leaving behind a series of ephemeral marks. This process becomes a form of existential documentation, a layering of presence. The body-shadow separation echoes medieval mysticism, once seen as a diabolic pact. Now, it symbolizes an existential detachment, with the shadow representing the soul’s rootedness and the essence of being.
