Two wooden plinths, with glass vitrines, each contain two long chromed objects reminiscent of branding irons. Each iron has at either extremity a handle and an image. One pair of irons have depictions of Luther and a Gorilla, the other pair Descartes and a caricature of a North American Indian. Each vitrine also has a black and white photograph mounted beneath the handles of the chromed objects. One image is of an interior filled with beds covered with heavy blankets, surrounded by wooden paneling and a neo-classical ceiling. The other is of an exterior, a deer hide in the forest. The walls of the room are covered with 6mm Malaysian crocodile brand plywood sheets that are attached with mirror headed screws, hiding the architectural features.
